Vault Access Terminal or Villager Access Terminal.
Using a Lectern this machine calls minecarts and returns them to their proper slot in the machine. Although the practicality of this machine does not compare to its resource cost, the capacity for 10,935,(15x27x27), slots of storage space at your finger tips in the form of 2 buttons and a book more than makes up for it. Done by having 27 shulker boxes in all 15 minecart chests. This requires 405 shulkers to fill the machine, oof. However the machine is fully functional with no shulkers, just less storage.
The book controls which cart in the machine you want to CALL. Each page represents a cart and thus the page also contains information of the carts contents, be it a chest or villager. This gives the player an index. The CALL button is locked when there is a cart out of its slot in the machine and the redstone lamp will be off. This prevents calling more than 1 cart at a time.
When the redstone lamp is lit; this indicates that the machine is full, all slots occupied by a cart, and it is ready for you to CALL another cart.
The book can be removed and altered at any time then replaced on the lectern to keep updating contents. Pages can be turned at anytime, the machine does not break from rapid page changes. Trapdoor is optional, I use it to hide the inside parts of the machine from view.
Since the machine uses a lectern, the facade can be any style at all. The dimensions of this build are 12 wide, 20 long, 14 high.
The white section is the page selection circuitry, the yellow section represents the minecarts path, the green section is for the safety lock to prevent spam calling carts, the blue part is used to call a cart, depowering a piston above the selected page number. Using a detector rail at the minecarts slot helps to lock the call button and switch the direction of rail behind it so no other carts try to go into an already occupied slot. The orange section on the right is for turning off a piston so the minecart can return to its position in the machine, the orange on the top is for the redstone lamp, indicating when the machine is ready to call a cart.
