This is a thread, that needs to be read by everyone, gone or coming to Foxcraft, future or past. I wrote this with the help from a friend who also experiences this heavily.
There is a tl;dr at the bottom also.
Within the last few years I have played on the server. There have been multiple people that have been maliciously spreading around accusations and rumors of private information about players and staff members, who let me add are also JUST players.
The community deserves the safety of privacy and security when playing on the server. However, recent times have disturbed the peace of security and players are constantly leaking and discussing others and in some cases, even displaying their ill affection to other players.
We are tending to it as much as we can, but it is hard for us to keep up with the drama whilst players and in some cases, even staff are being involved in spreading rumors and hate towards other users and staff.
This needs to stop. End of.
Honestly, this isn’t healthy for the server and community that some want to enjoy like we did years ago. Due to teens being teens, and others just liking to involve themselves in the “beef” and current drama. People forget that within the rules, Cloak himself said within the rules section:
That's what it says, on a link that is on the orange tab that says “Rules”.
Yet, nobody seems to see this, or notice this. It’s ridiculous. It’s right at the top of the page.
People need to realize, that spreading rumors and hate is against the rules, thereby making it punishable. Some who do this have purchased ranks in game, and it would be a shame to take them off the game server that they put money into. But rules are rules, like laws are laws. They keep stability for all who reside in the area of its jurisdiction. Yet nobody sees that.
And the server is getting more and more of a trial to play, more of a school if you like, full of children who have social groups, who conspire against one another.
And what would get rid of all of the controversy and unenjoyment on the server?
If hate, would just stop. The command /ignore was made for a reason.
Some of the players here need to grow up, if they don’t want to hear something or someone, just ignore them, /ignore them. It’s a command with a purpose.
Honestly, even ignoring staff. But there is a difference with staff.
Don’t ignore staff because you don’t like what you hear. They’re there to counsel you, and to help you become a player who doesn’t disturb others fun. Realize that these people take time out of their day to chore for an in game server rather than play it for fun. Learn to appreciate this.
I’m not just here to hate on disrespect towards staff. It’s players too, users who just want to enjoy their playtime. Drama spurns, and they struggle to make friends and enjoy their time just because of a grudge or a hate towards someone.
If and when, bullies and harassers on the server look back to their former days, see them view upon their negative actions, and try to see a situation from both sides. Release grudges and hate against others, and stop making this place unenjoyable for the community. It’s just selfish and rude.
Basically, what I’m trying to say is, we all have private lives, everybody wants to keep it that way, it’s one of our human rights, we’re all entitled to security, please from everybody else's perspective and, from yours… understand this. As my fellow player @Hyllus has said recently, “I just want people to open their eyes. Have empathy. Realize the person you're talking to is human. That sounds kind of stupid, but I don't mean they're not a robot. They have feelings. They have a life.” this is the point I am trying to set out to you people. (please PM me if you want me to remove that bit)
TL;DR: Please respect everyone's privacy before doing anything malicious towards them. We are all people, treated exactly the same but, with different backgrounds
