This farm is for those people that can not bring themselves to go near water in minecraft. I do not judge but when they want seagrass to breed their turtles, whatever will they do?
Just so happens seagrass is nano farmable and this is what mine looks like;
With shears in hand it is a simple matter of breaking the seagrass, go ahead. Do not be afraid, the water is contained so you can get close enough that the seagrass will go into your inventory by itself. The contraption will automatically dispense a bonemeal which makes a new seagrass grow right after you have broken one.
I learned that an Amethyst bud stops water from flowing.
This contraption is so small I made it inside this dark oak tree. Seagrass can grow on any block that has a solid top face, even a trapdoor that opens upward. (automation uses way too much bonemeal)
1 observer, 1 dispenser, 1 redstone dust, 1 water bucket, bonemeal and whatever building materials you want. Make sure the water will not spill everywhere, put bonemeal in dispenser. Place water last and the machine will make its first seagrass before your eyes. Grab those shears and feed some turtles.
