Phantoms can be severely annoying, especially when we are caught off guard. Sometimes I get carried away doing things in Survival and night time sneaks up on me.
Following a design made by Cubfan with some changes. This stasis chamber is easy to assemble as as such is a good thing to take to a build/dig site along with a bed.
The redstone components required are as follows; 1 dispenser and 1 daylight sensor. Cubfans design has extensive redstone lines leading to far away places so he can use the chamber as a fast travel system. My build just uses a daylight sensor, eliminating a ton of redstone but making fast travel ineffective. (portable)
Place the dispenser at the soul sand side of the build and put the daylight sensor on top of the dispenser. I use barrels beside the dispenser/daylight sensor to store ender pearls. Use what ever blocks you want around the build, even fit it into a wall, just be sure to leave sky access for the sensor.
1 magma block, 1 soul sand block, and 4 water sources, (each water space in the chamber must be a source block)
Nothing hiding in the back. Place an empty bucket in the dispenser. Now the chamber is ready for an Ender pearl. Stand inside the water between the soul sand and magma blocks about the middle of the chamber.
Before throwing the Ender pearl make sure to be facing all the way down and align your crosshairs to aim at the first pixel of the soul sand, (not the magma block).
You will need to have the pearl in-between the 2 blocks. If you have aimed correctly the Ender pearl should be slightly more on the soul sand side of the 2 blocks. This is so that when the chamber activates you will not take damage from the magma block. When triggered the dispenser will remove the water source from above the soul sand thus making the Ender pearl drop due to the magma block pulling things down.
When thrown the Ender pearl will not hit the ground but will instead begin to hover.
Once the chamber is loaded you will not be able to pick up the pearl. If for some reason you have loaded the chamber and then need it to be unloaded, simply right click the daylight sensor to activate the chamber. If you do this be sure to click the sensor again to set it to back to default. (blue colored sensor is set to output a signal during the day)
When ever the chamber has activated there are 2 steps to resetting it. First is to remove the water bucket from the dispenser and place that water on the soul sand, return empty bucket to dispenser. Next is to put another Ender pearl.
Minimal redstone, should be good to go.
Placing a bed above the water also works if space is at a minimum.
*people sleep the night away most times in survival, but for that one time when it matters this could be a life saver.
Hope this helps, have fun out there.
