Hello, The cauldron filled with lava can be hidden under a boat. 
Looks are decieving here and an unsuspecting person could sit in the boat thinking they can head to the water and be gone with your chest and stuff in it.
They will quickly realize that there plan has been foiled as they will instantly be burning.
LOL, nasty little trick. Here is another little sample of burning the unsuspecting person;
Same deal with the cauldron in the ground with lava, but this time carpet surrounding so when the minecart rail is broken there will be no way of seeing a trap.

**side note - Mojang fixed the burning while in a minecart while underwater. This used to be a thing with the same setup, (cauldrons filled with lava) under rails that would go under water. Odd that we could put lava in a cauldron while it is in the water but we can still do that.
